Cooking With Yogurt!
White Mountain Foods | July 30th, 2016
There are only a few non-produce ingredients that can match the protein-rich, probiotic-powered benefits of plain yogurt. Why only eat it on its own when you can maximize your health benefits and cook with it. Either with substitutions, sauces, or even marinades, there are many ways to introduce yogurt into your cooking habits.
When substituting yogurt into your recipes, remember these simple tips:
never over-stir yogurt as it can thin it out, avoid heating it too quickly which can cause it to separate into curds, heating yogurt over 120 degrees F can cause it to lose it’s beneficial bacteria, and avoid using aluminum when cooking with yogurt.
